The Maron Family Garden of Art. This unique garden celebrates the harmonious relationship between art and the natural world. It showcases art in many forms, including such displays as plants sculpted into creative topiary designs. Completed in only eighteen months, this two-acre garden is a collection of many different elements. Located adjacent to the Wickham’s carriage house, it currently contains dozens of unique pieces of art by ten artists in a variety of mediums including granite, wood, steel, marble, and bronze. Other design features that I have always wanted to use in a garden include a labyrinth, a one-hundred-foot pergola, two hundred fifty feet of granite walkways and a two-story observation tower. The tower will give visitors the most unusual opportunity to view a garden from above, a perspective that allows one to follow the flow of pathways and unique connections between the many garden elements. This multi-million-dollar addition to the Park was the result of donations of art from a variety of sources. A generous donation from the Maron family along with the efforts of Wickham Park’s staff created this wonderful new garden. Guaranteed to provide a unique visitor experience it will definitely be worth a trip in 2026 to see this latest addition to Wickham Park.
